So, I've come to the conclusion that I need to blog, even if I don't have pictures. Ellie is growing so much! Not just physically, but mentally. From here on out I am going to post, even if I don't have a photo.
Ellie saw her doctor today. She has grown a lot in the last 3 months. She is now starting to land on the charts of being the same weight and height for other kids her age :) She is 23 lbs and 2.5 feet, I think, can't remember if the nurse said 4, or 7 inches, lol. Her iron was 10.5 when it should be a 12, so I had to take her to a different lab for iron check and lead check. They had to draw blood! Blood I say! From her arm! *shudder*! I had butterflies and was nervous for my child, more nervous that they would prick in the wrong spot, or she would move and get even more hurt! I was trying to distract her so as not to see what they were about to do to her, but no, she wanted to watch what they were doing. She DIDN'T CRY! Holy guacamole! I put her binkie in just in case and she just sat there and watch!
A few funny's she has done recently, I have shared this with my family but for my other readers, Ellie has a friend I babysit. I have TWO stuff monkeys they play with. C has claimed the pink one as hers and the red one Ellie's. C, the girl I watch, is into that "mine" stage! It is driving me nuts! She is starting to add tantrums with it when she has to share. One day I was fed up, so I told her "how about I show you what is yours in this whole house" and I placed her in her play pin for 2 minutes. While in there, Ellie picks up the PINK MONKEY! My thoughts were oh great C is going to flip. Ellie takes the monkey to C. I tell her "no Elle, she can't play with that right now" Elle hand it to her anyways. So I take the monkey away. Ellie squawks at me, takes the monkey back, hands it to C, turns around and with both sign language and her voice she tells me "thank you, thank you" She is so sweet!!
Now having shared that one, on to today' story. I had some balloons that floated from my room to down stairs. C was holding on to two of them and was not about to give them up. Ellie wanted one, but C would run from her. Ellie then looks around the room, sees the pink monkey, picks it up, causing C to thrown the balloons down. Ellie hands over the monkey and quickly picks up the balloons. Sneaky smart little one!
