Ellie is old enough and big enough to ride forward facing, but I feel the longer she can ride rear facing the better. Even if we never ever get in accident, I rather be safe then sorry!!
My car window is broken, it seems to have come off track. In the process of fixing it, we've been using Scott's car. I didn't want to undo the car seat from my car, so I put our other car seat in his, but it is a forward facing one. We put it in, it's only for a week any ways. Ellie loved it!!!
The very next day, I was reminded by why I don't want her forward facing. So we swap the seats back, and luckily she doesn't mind.
Here is the video that I saw months ago, and saw again this pass week to why I want her riding backwards as long as she can.

I know that there are many things out there that I can't protect my child from. The chance of us getting in an accident may never happen. But I still have control over better safe then sorry situations and this is why I chose to keep her rear facing for another year or two.

After viewing that video I have also decided to put Micah's car seat back to the rear facing position. Its a pain to get him in and out but I feel much better knowing that if anything were to happen he is at least safe from major harm.
Good idea. It has also been recommended that they stay rear facing to the age of two. Some states have change the law while others are still in the process. So it's more a recommendation then the law.
