We had a great time. We started our day, by attending 4th of July breakfast at my grandparents ward. They have lived in this ward for 62 years, so it is tradition to attend. I don't know a 4th of July with out starting with breakfast at my grandparents ward. Always yummy!

After breakfast and visiting, we returned home and I made a cake for the BBQ we attended. It was so yummy!!!!! It was white cake, 3 layers, strawberries and whip cream mix together for the middle layer. Then I covered it with whip cream them made a flag with strawberries and blueberries. It was fun to make, and just as good to eat.
Ellie enjoyed the BBQ. She tried watermelon for the first time. It kept falling out since her two bottom teeth, just broke through and are still small, and she is still learning how to use them

This year was the 5th year of our BBQ, rodeo tradition. We had a great time taking Elle to her first Rodeo, she enjoyed it too!!
The row in front of us was empty for awhile and Ellie had fun walking back and forth, dancing to the music, having space of her own, while we waited for the rodeo to start.
My brother serves on the West Jordan City Counsel, so he gets to ride in the wagon every year. They have shirts and balls to toss to the crowd, Ellie, really daddy, got a free shirt :) She enjoyed that.
Two of my nephews did Mutton busting this year. They had fun, and were good sports.

I am so grateful for our beautiful America, and the freedom we have. We are truly blessed by are Heavenly Father, who gives us such beauty to enjoy all around us, and freedom to live, and faith to know he is there. I know that he lives and loves us! I know that he watches over us, and guides us day in and day out. I am grateful for the family he has blessed me with, and that we can be together for ever!!!! I am so grateful that each year I get to celebrate such a holiday as this, with the family I love and enjoy spending time with!!!!
Ellie actually enjoyed sitting on the horse. The Glads said, she has been broken, but hasn't had a rider since then and was surprised she let her sit on her.f
