Bear making

For Mothers day this year, since we had a little one we made our, mine and Scott's mom, something special from Ellie. Ellie helped pick out the bear, then we tried to get her to laugh into the recorder that was placed into the bear, but all we could get was a cute roar which was appropriate. After wards we put a dress on each bear, that each grandma had purchased for Ellie in her smaller years. I didn't think to take a picture of the finished bears :( so here is the making of the bear and then Sherrel's bear.... They have a small fabric heart to place into the bears so we let Ellie kiss each heart before placing it in the bear

Pippy Longstocking

I love playing with her hair and trying something new each day. Her hair grows on top but not on the sides, its funny, but so cute. I was thinking that her hair is long enough for braids, but I had to put them in a pony first to get it to work. When I was done, all I could think of was the fun kid show growing up, pippy longstocking... Pippy had a horse, Ellie has a elephant for our little Ellie-elephant Her she is moving. Now that she figured out how to go forward, she is all over the place. She is so close to crawling on her hands and knees. She will pull her knees up getting ready to crawl, but her legs go back down and she nearly leaps like a frog....She now has been called, Ellie-elephant, a pig, a puppy, and now a frog...our little pet. Now we just need to teach her to oink and moo.... :)

Loves the Camera

That is, if she gets to play with it!

mmm...saghetti

Our little puppy

Daddy gave her taste of his mashed potatoes while she was sitting in my lap. She wanted more, she nearly jumped out of my arms to get to him. I stood her up at daddy's feet. She enjoyed every bite! After sharing his yummy meal with us, we decided that we want a yummy meal too, so daddy took us out for a date since it had been awhile with finals. Mommy got a yummy dessert, and I WANTED it!

Painting project

This was one of my projects with my mom when she was in town helping me with Ellie, when she was first born. Since I was painting the dresser/book shelf, I took a moment to paint some flowers on Because I had left over paint from the paint project my mom and I did, I thought I would use the rest and splash up the plain white dresser/book shelf.

Litttle piggy

I had placed her in her bed to play, while I cleaned up her room from my painting project. She was happy playing so I left to put away laundry. She was talking to her self, having fun, and then was quiet for awhile so I checked on her, and this is how I found her... Her poor little face after I moved her. LOL. Here is happy little piggy awake :)

Finals week! Ugh!

Finals week, is when Ellie and I become lonely, wondering what daddy looks like :) Because we were feeling neglected, after having to do cub scouts alone, and go to the store alone, Ellie and I splurged. She got 4 new dresses, all at $5.00 each, sweet! and of course, yummy doughnuts! Ellie was in need of Sunday dresses. She is getting to big for her dresses, or more like to tall, cause they still fit, but more like a shirt. She is enjoying all the new things she can do with growing. She is now moving forward. Not on her hands and knees, but army crawl, and she is loving it and is into everything. She also loves to stand! Of course she can't do it on her own yet, she also can't walk while holding on to stuff, I can barley get her to walk when I am holding her hands. But whats the hurry!?! There isn't one, cause she already can get around and she is into everything her hands can reach! It's baby proofin' time! Yikes! She was jealous of my doughnut and REALLY wanted one, so I gave in and let her have one. I think more of it ended up on the floor then in her mouth :) Like I said before, with her new discovering of moving she is now into everything. As I was goofin' on the computer she was playing and next thing I hear is her playing with my drawer! She was trying so hard to open it :) She was standing up playing with the side table in the living room. Her feet were so cute standing like that, that I just had to get a picture :) My guess is she will either be a dancer with all the moving she does, or a pianist with those long fingers of hers :) Or maybe both, or maybe both at the same time and when lots of money on America's got talent and she will share it with her mommy :)
