spoon

I'll have to get a picture of Scott's brother, but this one of Ellie makes Scott think of him. Cute and mischievous. David had a wooden spoon he loved playing with and gave you a sweet cute smile with a come here and then bonk your head. Here is Scott giving Ellie a spoon to try out. I'm sure David and Ellie would have gotten along real well :)

laughter

As I was holding Ellie on my lap I was playing with a hand puppet with Catherine. When Catherine would laugh Ellie would laugh. I started doing it to Ellie and she would laugh harder. Here is a small sample of her laughter. I took to long to get the camera out so it's cute but she was really laughing it up, crackling and giggling.

What you don't see :)

Boy did we have a crabby pants on our hands today. I think that she might be pre-teething cause she has all the lovely signs of teething but no sign of a tooth. Our little girl trying to grow up to fast on us! As long as she was being held, standing up, with a binkie or your hand to suck on she was happy.

Good thing there little :)

Well it is true I'm gaining to much weight and I'm unfit and it all boils down to LAZY! I decided that I need to take the girls on a walk for fresh air and exercise. Some day down the road I'll need to invest in a double stroller but for now I just have the one and luckily they are small enough for the both of them to be in it. At one point Ellie dropped her binkie and wasn't to happy about it, Catherine tried to give it to her and told her "here you go" it is cute when she says. Such a sweet heart.

I love breast feeding

She is so silly. It is fun to get that time together. She likes to stare up at me as if she is memorizing my face. In the middle of her feeding she will smile big and laugh and then start to play with me and smile some more it's so cute. She was in such a good mood after she ate that I quickly handed her over to my friend so I could get her giggling on camera. She is too cute!

Our sweet Kangaroo :)

Ellie's got us wrapped around her little finger. We love her so much. She loves to be held. A lot! the snugli is a life saver. I'm training her to sleep on her own not in someones arms so I've been putting her to bed drowsy but not asleep. She cried the first time. After about 10 min my heart couldn't take it any more, and I figured she was hungry too, so I went to go get her, the second the light turned on the crying stop. The second I was looking at her she started to smile and gave me a giggle. It was so cute! Gotta love our little Roo

I love bath time

Pretty in Green with mama's ring

I wore this ring for my baby blessing and my father gave it to me for Ellie to wear but since we plan on waiting to bless her until we are in Utah she might not fit it by that time so I put it on her and she is so cute, she tries to eat it sometimes, that or she just loves sucking on her hands so much.

to ryan

This is for our buddie ryan that we miss so much. His mom informed us that he enjoys the movies so we made one just for him :) We love you Ry :)This is a recording of Ryan after watching Scott's message for the 7th time :) And here is my response. Love ya buddie! This could go on forever :)

pigtales, so cute!

It has been fun dressing Ellie up and being able to play with her hair this early in life :) She is pretty good at letting me do it :) Usually she loves the camera and laughs or smiles, but lately her eyes have been roaming more. She has been watching people in the room. She is starting to watch Catherine play, usually she just stares in one spot and doesn't follow right away, but she is starting to catch on, so long story short, she is looking around the room taking in all in instead of smiling at the camera :)

Love the camera

This Week Ellie has discovered her hands even more. She usually likes the binkie to sooth her but now she is starting to suck her hands. I was going to record her sucking away, but right as I pulled the camera out she moved her hands and gave me this big grin and laughed like she was ready. To bad I wasn't, but I still got some cute videos of her. Soon I'll get her eating her hands.

I like pink

It's funny how I once disliked the color pink. I don't know what it was I just didn't like it. But Ellie is so dang cute in pink.

How do you spell Castle

Daniel was asking how to spell different items around my living room, when he looked at the temple photo he asked, "how do you spell castle?" How true :) This photo is of my favorite temple. I truly love the Manti temple, it makes me think of a castle and it is so beautiful on the inside. I love how children can remind us of the simple things in life. How the temple is our own personal castle here on earth, a taste of our future. I truly love seeing each temple I pass in view or picture. It is a pleasant reminder of how much God loves us and that he does live and wants us to know and feel of that love and knowledge, this is why I enjoy attending the temple every moment I can get. I know that God lives and loves me. That he lives today, as you and I, with flesh and bones. His presence can be felt in the walls of the temple, his holy house, a beautiful castle where his throne is glorious above all other thrones.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent to me in an email and thought I would pass it along.

Subject: FW: No unhallowed hand can stop the Work from progressing...".

My dear family, brothers and sisters, friends and leaders: My heart is overflowing with joy and gratitude to our Heavenly Father for His tender mercies and mighty miracles in our behalf. I just have to share this with you.

As most of you know, I am a Temple ordinance worker and work the morning shift in the LA Temple every Saturday. Today, I had the privilege of translating sister Martz-the new assistant Matron's-message during our devotional. She started like this:

"The prophet Joseph Smith said that no unhallowed hand would be able to stop this work from progressing. These past few weeks when mobs have combined and armies have gathered against the saints, the Lord has protected His house".

She went on to say that those, like her, who were inside the Temple when mobs were surrounding it, did not realize how scary and terrifying this looked on TV to the rest of us, because inside the House of the Lord all was calm and there was peace abundant.

After Proposition 8 passed, the Temple began receiving threatening calls and mail from those opposing it. They were warned that more than 5000 people would come to the Temple and burn it to the ground, and stop Its work. The first Thursday when the mob came, the new LA Temple President called the Salt Lake City Temple Offices for instructions. He was instructed to call the local police and to insure the safety of those attending the Temple by closing the gates. The assistant Matron said today, that it was a tender mercy from the Lord that the mob chose that Thursday to come since they had only one person coming to receive his own endowment that day, which he received in time to leave before trouble started.

The LAPD and the FBI responded quickly to the Temple Presidency's summons patrolling the grounds and kept the mob from entering the same. Most of them hadn't been there before and expressed their surprise at how beautiful and peaceful all around was. They were invited to return during the Christmas season to see the lights and they promised they would. On Thursday, November 13th, sister Campbell, a secretary in the Temple, was opening the mail and upon opening a large manila envelope found inside a smaller one. When she opened this one, a white powder flew all around her desk. She thought this could be related to the demonstrators and feared the worst-ANTRAX. She contacted the President, who in turn called the Salt Lake City Temple office again for instructions. The FBI, the LAPD, and even the SWAT teams were once again in the grounds to investigate, and the Temple once again had to close from around 11:30 AM to 5PM. They closed the gates and were instructed to keep all the people there wherever they were found at the time. Those in the parking lot had to remain in the parking lot. Those entering the Temple had to remain in the first floor and those already upstairs were taken to the Celestial Room.

Then, the miracles began to happen: A brother serving as a recorder that day is a Microbiologist by profession and used to deal with hazardous substances every day. He was the first to say the white powder in the envelope was only talc, and put everyone at ease. Then the sister coordinator upstairs was impressed to call upstairs to the sealing area, and said "They said we can't go down but no one said we can't go up, and I have many people in the Celestial room with their ceremonial clothes on ready to work. Could they do some sealings?" As it happened, there were four sealers present that day and they ran four sealing sessions non stop while the Temple was closed. Downstairs, someone else thought to invite those in the Lobby to do some initiatories, which they promptly did for all those hours too, brothers and sisters alike.

Among those waiting in the parking lot there was a large group of young men and women with their leaders who had come to do Baptisms, and who waited patiently all those hours and decided when the Temple was reopened to go ahead and fulfill their assignment instead of driving back home. The Temple reopened in time for the 5:30 PM session. The next day when recording the ordinances, they discovered that they had performed 2000 sacred ordinances on Thursday, only one less than the day before when three stakes had been visiting the Temple. Once again the assistant matron reminded us of the words of the prophet Joseph Smith, "No unhallowed hand can stop the Work from progressing...".

But, this is not all, a prophecy was fulfilled also. When the new LA Temple President was set apart by President Uchdorft of the First Presidency, he received a blessing and these words were pronounced: " The time has come for the LA Temple to come out of obscurity and become an Ensign for Righteousness to the world under your presidency." The pictures of the Temple have been shown on TV, newspapers and the Internet, not only in this country but worldwide.

People of other faiths have called and sent letters to the Temple thanking the Church for defending marriage and protecting the family, and commenting how impressed they are by how beautiful and majestic the Temple looks . One minister of an African American church, who by his own admission had harbored ill feelings against the Mormons before said " I am impressed by your integrity and Christ like behavior, and even if I am not ready to consider you my brothers and sisters in Christ, we can be first cousins!".

I asked the assistant matron if I could share her comments and she said to go ahead. I can only add my own testimony that I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has power and authority of God on earth. God Lives and Jesus, His only Begotten Son and our Savior, is coming soon to redeem His people. I am grateful to know this and I pray we stand firm, steadfast and immobile while the prophecies of the signs before His Coming are fulfilled. "Be not afraid, only believe".

He has said, " What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself; and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same."

I testify that this is true and testify it in the Holy Name of Whom I strive to serve, even Jesus Christ.

Be faithful and safe is my humble prayer.

Your sister in Christ,

Patricia H. Arnazzi

Because I can

This picture has no meaning I'm just posting it cause I can :) Ellie just got done eating but was still in a sucking mood so I gave her her binkie. She was fine for a moment then started smiling and it sound like she said hi :) of course she didn't but I like to pretend she did. She makes this noise now and again that really sounds like she is saying hi. She is a cuttie

21

This is my little friend Daniel. He loves the song "There's a hole in my bucket" He always asked the moment he is in my home, can we listen to dear Eliza, which sounds more like, D'eliza. If you will let him, he will play with his lego boat that he protects from his sister with is life under my table, where she can't go because I have it blocked off, and will push the repeat button and listen to D'eliza over and over and over again. Sometimes I have to say okay thats enough lets listen to the rest of the CD, which I did during dinner. D'elzia is number 15 by number 21 I think he was getting ancy and wanted d'eliza to come on, he was going to ask to change it back but got distracted noticing the song was number 21 changed his thought and said, um, when your 21 you can go to the Casino. LOL I got a good laugh out of it because he is very inquisitive and will ask every question imaginable and will remember asking it and the answer and will remind you. So Elizabeth what you teaching your son? ;) *update-His dad informed me that they drive by 2 different cosino's on the way home from my place. Daniel always mentions how he wants to go inside nearly every day, so he told him when you are 21 you can go. :)

7 Things you Didn't know about your Baby

I found this insert in my parent magazine and found these facts interesting.
1) During the nine months between conception and birth, a baby's weight increases 3,000 million times. At 5 weeks pregnant baby is the size of a pin head.
2)Between birth and age 2, an infant will quadruple in size.
3)At birth, a baby's brain is 10 percent of her total body weight, an adult is 2 percent.
4)Within 45 hours of birth, a newborn knows her own mother by her smell. A blindfolded mom can identify her own child form a host of other babies by scent alone. Ellie is a good smelling baby :)
5)At birth, babies have the ability to swim. I once read at about 4 months is when you can place child face down in water and mother nature will kick in. I'm almost half tempted. Not!
6) Human babies are the only primates to smile at their parents.
7)A newborn has feet that are 1/3 of heir adult length. By age one, they are nearly half their adult size.

My First Ponytail :)

I tried getting the ponytail right in the middle, but she was wiggling so it ended up on the side, and I think I like it better that way. She is a cuttie :)
